Erzgebirge
The Erzgebirge is a low mountain range in Saxony. The Fichtelberg in the Erzgebirge is with 1.214 meters the highest mountain of the country. The nature park "Erzgebirge/Vogtland" belongs with 1495 km² and 290.000 inhabitants to the most densely populated mountains in Europe. The extremely picturesque landscapes of the Erzgebirge hold some very special treasures of nature for the visitor. Two particularly beautiful destinations are the valley of the Black Pockau, also known as the Black Water Valley, and the village of Seiffen.
