Under the motto "Let nature be nature", a unique landscape is being created in the Bavarian Forest National Park. The border mountain range with its forests, moors, mountain streams and former high pastures (shafts) is therefore one of the most important hotspots of biodiversity. Dozens of rare animals, plants and fungi enjoy optimal habitat conditions in the Bavarian Forest. Not only do extinct mammals and birds such as the lynx, capercaillie, otter or Ural owl live in the Bavarian Forest, but also countless fungi and beetles, some of which can only be found in the Bavarian Forest National Park.

Those who travel to the Bavarian Forest for camping can look forward to a true paradise of nature and action. From the camping sites between trees and picturesque clearings, guests can walk under the canopy of leaves or visit one of the treetop paths. Cycling and kayaking in the region are also very popular.

Bavaria is known in Germany above all for its (pre-)alpine regions with wild mountain valleys and rivers. However, it also offers very diverse natural landscapes: picturesque lakes, the hilly pre-alpine regions, often wild low mountain ranges with endless forests, e.g. in the Bavarian Forest, or also picturesque river landscapes, e.g. along the Danube and its many side arms. Away from the main tourist attractions, Bavaria offers many almost perfect off-camping spots.
