In the Bergisches Land, instead of green, dense primeval forests, there is a rich and varied cultural landscape. For here in the region, man has been at home for centuries, he has shaped the hilly landscape. From numerous observation towers and lookout points, visitors have the opportunity to view the "humpbacked world" with its particularly charming forest areas from above. The varied low mountain range landscape of the Bergisches Land Nature Park attracts visitors with green forests, wide meadows and idyllic valleys with rushing streams. Picturesquely embedded in the landscape you will find numerous lakes and dams. Idyllic villages with half-timbered and slate houses are typical for the region. Particularly impressive are the wide views, which are always offered by the numerous mountain ranges.
