Framed by Hunsrück and Eifel, the Moselle flows through many places worth seeing. First of all, Trier, the oldest city in Germany with a Roman past, should be mentioned. Between vineyards the Moselle meanders up to the German Corner in Koblenz and forms one of the most beautiful river landscapes in Europe. Another highlight on the way is the city of Cochem with the famous Reichsburg. Each of these places is famous for its wine and hosts a big wine festival every year. The Moselle valley is one of the warmest regions in Germany and therefore has a southern flair.

Behind every bend of the Moselle you will find new great views. Viewpoints on the Moselle heights are worth even the steepest ascent. Many charming side valleys invite you to take a walk or a hike. Steep slopes and wide valley slopes alternate. In between many small Moselle villages, which fit perfectly into the surroundings. Above them are the vineyard slopes that characterize the landscape.
